About Ningbo
A seaport located in the northeast portion Zhejiang province, Ningbo plays an important role in the regional economy exporting electrical products, food, textiles, and industrial equipment to China's overseas trading partners. Culturally, Ningbo is known as the home of the Tianyi Pavilion Museum, China's oldest surviving library, and as the ancestral home of Yo Yo Ma.
Ningbo is home to four major universities, including the Ningbo Institute of Technology, a Project 211 institution, and the University of Nottingham Ningbo. Ningbo also hosts several international schools and teaches cirrciculums including the IB Diploma Programme and College Board Advanced Placement.
